I STILL can’t make rhyme or reason of the contemporary ghost story Remember Me starring Monty Python’s Michael Palin as the 80-something who moved into a residential home after staging a fall downstairs in his terraced house (BBC One on Sundays).
I thought more sense, logic and meaning was portrayed in The Making of the Mekong River with Sue Perkins, aired on BBC Two an hour earlier, when she concluded her epic journey through the SE Asia river, even though half of the dialogue was in Chinese. Ho ho ho!
Coincidentally three Asian guys were featured called Mr Ho! You couldn’t make it up!
However, it was a pity that due to a complete lack of programme planning, Mekong was shown the same time as The Great Wall of China on Channel 4.
