TO me it seemed inconceivable that on the Big Painting Challenge for amateur artists (BBC One, Sunday), the lady who fared better than some in painting the human form and movement at Tate Britain, not to mention the only contestant to have captured the power and passion of a Flamenco dance, should have been booted off the show.
But, knowing what rubbish poses as art these days, I shouldn’t have been so surprised!
Still on the subject of television, I was sorry to learn Duncan Bannatyne made his last appearance on Dragons Den (also BBC One on Sunday).
I will miss his quirky sense of humour.
On the other hand, I’m over the moon the US crime thriller Gotham is back on our screens after a mid-term interval (Monday, Channel 5) as the guy who plays the creepy Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin) deserves an Oscar for his portrayal of both characters. Not be to missed!
