Thanks for all the laughs

Guess many people will have paid tribute to the comedian Ronnie Corbett who died recently in hospital at the age of 85.

I remember him from the 1960s appearing in The Frost Report with John Cleese and Ronnie Barker, and again later working with Ronnie Barker in The Two Ronnies (four candles, rambling monologues and all).

However, my favourite memory of the little guy was when he played Timothy Lumsden in the much loved BBC sitcom, Sorry, a 41-year-old librarian still living at home with his parents. The mother being domineering and overbearing, who seems to be present in all places at the same time still treating Timmy as if he were a little boy.

Thanks for all the laughs – RIP.
