‘Wheat’ will happen next?

Jeremy Clarkson
Jeremy Clarkson

SO David Cameron has been branded arrogant after he told the BBC he would stand for a second term but afterwards it would be time for new leadership.

As he so succinctly put it, ‘terms are like shredded wheat – two are wonderful but three might be too many’ or, in other words, two terms of five years is ample sufficiency for any PM.

He speculated on a future leadership race, many think twix Home Secretary Teresa May and Chancellor George Osbourne (with Boris Johnson cycling round in the background, no doubt).

Now Jeremy Clarkson, having been fired by the BBC, is now considered a 100-to-one shot to lead the Tory party!

And all this ‘soap opera’ because a guy at the BBC asked an honest question and got an honest answer.
