Whitburn are at home to Hetton Lyons in an exciting clash at the top of the Dukes ECB NEPL Premier Division.
Skipper Paul Shields said: “There are plenty of changes this week.
“Matthew Muchall is getting married tomorrow and Chris Stewart and Phillip Bell have been invited to attend!
“The drama continues with the news that a rival wedding is also taking place with Craig Henderson tieing the know.
“So, Lee Henderson, being a good brother, has agreed to act as the best man, as best brothers do!”
“The result of all of this alternative entertainment is a mass exodus from the seconds with Lawrence Wood, Matthew Glover, Howell Hurst and Ben Markham being promoted.
“Ross Carty is the fifth change from last week, but he is returning from last week’s injury.
“So, the side may appear to be understrength and with Hetton Lyons being the visitors, the match will not be an easy one to triumph in, since they have crept above us in recent weeks with a run of good form.”
In Division One, Boldon are at South Shields and skipper Chris Ellison said: “Gary Scott returns from injury and replaces Phillip Shakespeare who is unavailable.
“The side has hit a little bit of good form recently, so confidence is high for the fixture at South Shields, who lie just below us in the league.”
Boldon CA, who still have an outside chance of promotion from Division Two of the Readers Durham Cricket League, travel to Murton.
Murton find themselves just 12 points above the relegation trapdoor ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Boldon CA.
The home side will be pushing for their fourth win of the season, to try and distance themselves further from bottom club Silksworth.
In Division One, Marsden who sit in sixth place, travel to troubled Horden who are just six points above the relegation trapdoor.
The home side will be very keen to win and push themselves away from the danger zone.
