DOVER Athletic chairman Jim Parmenter has branded former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew as “arrogant”.
Pardew guided Crystal Palace, his new club, to a 4-0 FA Cup win over the non-league club on Sunday.
The 53-year-old – who quit Newcastle last week – had complained that it took him and his players 20 minutes to walk to Crabble Athletic Ground from the coach drop-off point.
But Parmenter told The Sun: “It’s complete arrogance for him to expect us to make special arrangements just because it’s him.
“I don’t know what Pardew was doing for 20 minutes – you can crawl up there on all fours in a couple of minutes.”
Parmenter added that Pardew was “rude” to staff.
