THE FA is investigating another missile-throwing incident at Selhurst Park – less than a week after Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini was struck.
Crystal Palace were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool in the FA Cup on Saturday, and in his match report, referee Rob Madley mentioned an object that had been thrown from the crowd.
According to Sky Sports, the FA is ‘extremely concerned’ by the two incidents at Selhurst Park, and wants those responsible to be punished.
Coloccini was struck by a coin when celebrating Papiss Demba Cisse’s opener for Newcastle in last week’s 1-1 draw at Palace.
While the FA will not take any direct action against the Eagles for that incident, Palace are reviewing CCTV footage in an attempt to identify the perpetrator.
