Olivier Kemen’s been told his future is at Newcastle United – despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
The highly-rated midfielder joined the club from Metz two years ago.

But tough-tackling Kemen is yet to make a competitive first-team appearance for Newcastle.
Liverpool, Tottenham, AC Milan and Monaco have been linked with moves for the gifted France Under-19 international. However, United head coach Steve McClaren is keen to assess him this season.
And McClaren has even likened him to Newcastle’s combative midfielder Cheick Tiote.
“I like him,” said McClaren. “I call him a young Cheicky, that type (of player).
“He’s come back late because of the France Under-19s. He’s been in and out of the first team, training with us.
“But I like him. He’s still only young, and still got a lot to do.”
Asked if Kemen’s future lay at Newcastle, McClaren added: “Yes, definitely. He’s a good player.”
Kemen only made one pre-season appearance for United because of his summer involvement with France’s Under-19s.
Meanwhile, striker Ivan Toney has told of his “delight” after Newcastle were paired with his former club Northampton Town in the Capital One Cup.
