Chris Hutchinson: Jarrow moving in the right direction

Jarrow are facing up to yet another challenge in the Ebac Northern League Division Two with a home test against Darlington RA (3pm).

Joint manager Chris Hutchinson said ahead of the clash: “After a good second half performance against Heaton Stanington, with a well earned 1-1 draw on Monday night, we face another good challenge against Darlington RA tomorrow at Perth Green.

“We have a strong squad to select from with the return of Jordan Mellish, Kris Allen, Max Kirkham and Dean Martin all available for selection.

“We want to continue where we left off on Monday, playing good possession football and creating chances in the final third of the pitch.

“Jak Wells is starting to show the form that has made him one of the top goalkeepers in the division.

“We always have a blend of youth and experience in the starting 11 that gives us energy and quality within the team, in what is a tough league.

“The players give everything for the club and continue to develop which gives Dave and I the confidence that Jarrow are going in the right direction as the commitment shown by the players is second to none.”
