Jarrow have a repeat of their League Cup thriller earlier this month when they host Stockton Town tomorrow (2pm).
Dave Bell’s side produced a stunning fightback a fortnight ago to almost draw with the defending champions.
And he hopes for a similar spirited performance tomorrow – not a repeat of the effort last weekend that saw them hammered by Horden.
Bell said: “Last week’s game was a huge disappointment to all of us, we just did not perform at anywhere near the level we are capable of, and Horden deservedly beat us.
“That cannot happen this week against an excellent side.
“Our last performance against Stockton was a strange game that saw us score three goals in that last five minutes and have a goal disallowed with the last kick of the game that would have made it 5-5.
“Prior to that, Stockton could have added more to the five they had already scored, so we are well aware of their many strengths.
“Every one of our players need to perform at a high level tomorrow to give us any chance of getting anything out of the game, but we are looking forward to the challenge against a great side.
“We have Lea Brand and goalkeeper Lee Burrell unavailable. Gary Frater will play in goal.
“Darren Morton is still injured and Grant Pressling seems extremely doubtful for the game. We are hoping Andy Wilkinson and Alexander Bone will both be fit enough to play.
“Brodie Simpson, Liam Bayles and Mark Williams all return – they were unavailable last week – and Kyle Oxley has recovered from the injury that meant he was not available. We are also hoping captain Peter Kane will be able to make the game.”
