The Roofers lost against Ryhope CW on Tuesday night and followed that up with a lacklustre performance at Seaham to leave them in deep relegation trouble.

After a bright opening, the South Tynesiders fell behind when Aaron Croft found some space and crossed for Robbie Bird to finish after 17 minutes.

Roofing were two behind just four minutes later as Bradley Staunch advanced forward and lifted a ball over the defence for Liam McBryde to finish.

Dennis Knight pulled a goal back for the Roofers on the half hour mark, capitalising on a Jordan Harkess slip to slot into the empty net after the Seaham keeper fell when setting to clear a backpass.

Roofing came out for the second half and struggled to push Seaham back.

And on 66 minutes, former Roofing ace McBryde struck his second of the game, finishing off low at the back post after Roofing were caught high up the pitch.

With men pushed forward in a last ditch effort to rescue the game, Roofing began to test Harkess, but could not find a way through until Knight pulled the ball back for Olly Martin to finish with 5 minutes remaining.

The South Tynesiders remain third from bottom, with a game in hand on Bishop Auckland who are three points ahead. Though Roofing must improve quickly if they are to survive the drop into the second division.
