Tottenham Hotspur are ready to move for unsettled former Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye, according to a report.

Cabaye left St James’s Park for Paris Saint-Germain 18 months ago.

But the 29-year-old has become frustrated at a bit-part role at the Parc des Princes.

Former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is keen to take Cabaye to Crystal Palace, and West Ham United have also been linked with the France international.

The Times report that Tottenham, looking to revamp their midfield this summer, are keen on Cabaye, who indicated that he is interested in returning to England.

Asked by L’Equipe if he wanted to stay at PSG, he said: “Not really.

“I know that if I stay, whatever I’ll do, nothing will change.

“If there is an opportunity to go back to England, I hope everyone will be smart enough to do things well.

“But there could be other destinations.”
