ALAN Pardew’s confident Rolando Aarons WILL agree a new deal at Newcastle United.
The club’s offer of a six-year deal worth £6,000-a-week has been rejected by the 19-year-old.
Talks have all but broken down with Aarons’s representatives over a new contract to reflect his elevation to the first team.
But United manager Pardew is hopeful a compromise can be reached with Aarons, who made a stunning breakthrough early in the season.
“He’s a young player who has a contract here, and we’re trying to negotiate with his team,” said Pardew.
“Somewhere along the line, I think some sense will come into those negotiations.”
Aarons, sidelined with a hamstring injury, is under contract for another 18 months, and the club has the option of another year.
