Alan Pardew reacts to chants from Newcastle fans at Selhurst Park
The club’s 2,762 travelled supporters chanted against their club’s former manager during last night’s 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park.
Papiss Demba Cisse’s first-half strike – his 10th goal of the campaign – was cancelled out by a 71st-minute goal from Fraizer Campbell.

Hide AdPardew was asked about the reception he got from United’s supporters after the Premier League match.
And the 53-year-old – who endured a miserable final 12 months at St James’s Park before moving to Palace – labelled it “crowd banter”.
“It was normal crowd banter,” said Pardew. “I have walked away and come here and I enjoy myself here.
“I had a brilliant reception from the (Palace) fans again, and hopefully we can give them a result to cheer about in the cup (against Liverpool) on Saturday. It will be a really great occasion.”

Hide AdPardew was hired to keep Palace in the Premier League, and his team are two places behind 11th-placaed Newcastle.
“It was a big point,” said Pardew. “Points are gold dust in the Premier League, so I am pleased.
“I was difficult for us. Newcastle defended well and made it difficult for us and scored with what turned out to be the only shot on target they had.
“t was a great moment for them – a great cross and great finish. “

“I thought we really took the game to Newcastle – took a few chances – but really it was the bench that salvaged the game for us.”
Substitute Yannick Bolasie crossed for Campbell.
Pardew added: “Yannick’s cross was of the highest order, and he had no right to put in a ball of that quality from the room he had.
“It was a great goal for us and gave us time to get a winner – and I thought there would only be one winner at that point – but we could not quite get a second goal.”
