Alan Shearer has labelled Newcastle United's performance against Leicester City "woeful" after the club's 3-0 defeat.
Shearer watched the game from the Match of the Day studios.
And United's all-time record goalscorer was blunt in his assessment of the performance of Steve McClaren's side.
Shearer said on Twitter: "I've run out of words to describe the Newcastle performances, so I'll stick with 'woeful' again!"
Goals from Jamie Vardy, Leonardo Ulloa and Shinji Okazaki sent Leicester to the top of the Premier League.
And Vardy's strike saw him equal a 12-year-old record held by Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The striker has now scored in his last 10 league games.
Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren felt it was his team's "worst" performance of the season.
The result left United a point above the relegation zone.
