Andros Townsend looks set to quit Newcastle United and join Crystal Palace in a £13million move.
The winger is reportedly on his way for a medical with the Eagles after they activated the release clause in his United contract.
Townsend only signed for the Magpies in January, joining from Tottenham Hotspur in a £12million deal.
His fine form - scoring four goals in 13 appearances - wasn't enough to save the club from relegation, but did earn him a recall to the England squad.
the 25-year-old ultimately missed out on a Euro 16 squad place, but Newcastle hoped he would stay at the club and help their promotion bid.
However, it appears Townsend has decided he wants to stay in the top flight, with Palace boss Alan Pardew - who was keen on the winger when he was Newcastle manager - persuading him to move to Selhurst Park.
The deal could be completed later tonight, with striker Dwight Gayle moving in the opposite direction as he completes the formalities of his switch from Palace to Tyneside.
