Mikel Arteta’s side arrive at St James’ Park just three days after playing away to La Liga side Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
The scoreline is 2-1 in favour of the Spanish club but everything is still to play for during the second-leg tie at the Emirates next week.
