AYOZE Perez has been left out of Newcastle United’s starting XI for the club’s relegation decider.
The forward is among the substitutes for this afternoon’s home game against West Ham United (3pm kick-off).
Perez has been one of the few Newcastle players to enhance his repuation this season.
Striker Papiss Demba Cisse starts up front alongside Emmanuel Riviere, who scored in last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.
Defender Mike Williamson and midfielder Vurnon Anita are also handed recalls.
John Carver’s side need to beat West Ham to be certain of Premier League survival.
However, if third-from-bottom Hull City, two points behind 17th-placed Newcastle, fail to beat Manchester United at the KC Stadium, the club will be safe.
Head coach Carver said: “The players realise how much this game means, and they know exactly what they have to do.”
