@johnshiresitv - "Utterly ludicrous! When the linesman puts up his flag, that SHOULD stop play. FIFA and UEFA tell linesmen: don't put your flag up until the move's resolved. So nobody stops. Why are we different?"

@DeanCruddace - "If #sufc don't win the most robbed by VAR trophy this season, it'll be because of VAR deciding the result."

@blueportaluk - "VAR is ruining the game not because of the goal (we should have carried on)... but because it’s all anyone ever talks about, there is controversy every bloody game #sackvar #sufc #nufc"

@gavp77 - "We could play until Saturday afternoon and we won't score. And if we did it would probably be ruled out by VAR.

@hession_grace - "VAR has ruinied football, flag was already up and everybody had stopped absolute joke #twitterblades #SUFC"

@NotoriousSzin - "Beyond furious with the ref, VAR and our performance tonight We need to do better if we're to avoid a relegation battle in May. Yes, it could still happen #twitterblades #SHUNEW"

@jones1302's - "The only reason the ref doesn't blow is because he knows if its wrong then VAR will bail him out. Of that is the case, then what is the point in linesmen?"

@JustLewys - "keepers fault. play to the whistle."

@chalmershamish - "The flag was up though anyone would stop because the linesman flagged for offside."
