Curtis Good is out of Newcastle United’s tour games against Sacramento Republic and Portland Timbers.
The defender made his comeback from a hip operation operation in the club’s pre-season opener against Gateshead.
Good – who injured his hip on his Australia debut in March last year – had surgery in February after breaking down in an Under-21 match.
The 22-year-old has again been troubled by his hip this week, and has been unable to train in the USA.
Good, signed from Melbourne Heart three years ago, yesterday watched his team-mates prepare for the sold-out game against Sacramento, which will be played in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Newcastle won’t take any risks with Good between now and the end of the tour, and he could now be sent to see a specialist for assessment.
