Claude Puel has spoken about Islam Slimani's future at Leicester City.
The striker, signed on a half-season deal in January, made his Newcastle United debut in last weekend's 1-0 win Huddersfield Town.
However, Slimani – who had been sidelined with a thigh injury – is not eligible to play against his parent club at the King Power Stadium tomorrow.
Slimani joined Newcastle on transfer deadline day after the club failed to meet Feyenoord's valuation of Nicolai Jorgensen.
United manager Rafa Benitez explained his position on a potential summer move for Sllimani ahead of the Huddersfield game, which was won by a second-half strike from Ayoze Perez.
Leicester manager Claude Puel was asked about Slimani's Leicester future ahead of Newcastle's visit to the King Power Stadium.
“He is a Leicester player, like all the players out on loan,” said Puel.
“We will make some explanation or discussion about the situation of all the players at the end of the season.”
Newcastle are 12th in the Premier League table – and seven points clear of the relegation zone – ahead of the Leicester game.
