Georginio Wijnaldum has completed his £25million move to Liverpool.
The deal has gone through tonight after the midfielder completed a medical at Anfield.
Newcastle United had accepted a bid yesterday after lengthy talks.
On Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, Wijnaldum said: “(He seems) a great man – from the outside – because I don’t know how he works yet and I have to work with him.
“I always love to watch him, his passion as a trainer ... I like how he enjoys the game. He gives something back to the group (with his passion), so I look forward to working with him.”
Wijnaldum played his last game for the club on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old came off the bench in a 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Wijnaldum had made it clear that he wanted to leave relegated Newcastle.
The Holland international joined United a year ago from PSV Eindhoven.
