Everything you need to know about the FA Cup draw: Newcastle United's number, round dates & more

Newcastle United’s name is in the hat for the fourth round of the FA Cup – but they will have to see off League One Rochdale to make it through to the last 32.

What time is the draw? What number are NUFC? And when will ties take place? Here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s draw.

When will the draw take place?

The FA Cup fourth round draw will be held TONIGHT at 7.30pm.

It will be shown LIVE on BBC One prior to Arsenal’s third round clash with Leeds United.

The draw will be made by former Arsenal and England women representative Alex Scott, joined by ex-Leeds and Aston Villa boss David O’Leary.

When will matches be played?

Fourth round matches will be played between Friday, January 24 and Monday, January 27.

What is the prize money for progressing?

Clubs winning in the fourth round will collect £180,000 from the FA prize fund.

Of the 20 Premier League teams who entered the competition at the the third round stage, 16 remain in the hat – although some require replays, like Newcastle, and others, including Arsenal, are yet to play in the competition.

The lowest ranked side definitely through to round four is Northampton Town. They are currently ninth in League Two. Should Carlisle United – 21st in League Two – see off Cardiff City in a replay, they would take that honour.

What number are NUFC?

Rochdale or Newcastle United take up ball number 7.

When will Newcastle United’s St James's Park replay replay with Dale take place?

No date has been announced by either club but the tie is likely to conclude on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
