One club who are still looking for a new boss is Everton, following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid.
According to reports, former Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has emerged as a shock contender for the Toffees job, despite his Liverpool connections.
The Daily Mirror claims that Blues owner Farhad Moshiri is seriously considering Benitez as a successor to Ancelotti, despite the potential for widespread dissent and anger from the fans.
Jacob Murphy interest
Back at Newcastle, Magpies winger Jacob Murphy is reportedly attracting interest from clubs in England and abroad.
According to The Sun, Turkish club Galatasaray have joined the race to sign the 26-year-old winger, who is also being tracked by Southampton, Leeds, Burnley and Premier League new boys Watford.
It’s believed Newcastle boss Steve Bruce wants Murphy to sign a long-term contract at St James’ Park, where the player has 12 months left on his current deal.
