Ex-Newcastle defender Mike Williamson training on Tyneside
Former Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson's back on Tyneside '“ two and a half years after leaving St James's Park.
Williamson, released by Oxford United, is training with Gateshead, according to BBC Radio Newcastle.
The non-league club reportedly hope to sign the 34-year-old on a one-year deal.
Williamson, signed from Portsmouth in 2010, made 150 league appearances for Newcastle during a six-year career at the club.
The centre-half moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2016.
