Eddie Howe’s side currently find themselves in 4th place having won three games in a row following their best start to a Premier League season in over a decade.
Their 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday was yet another example of Newcastle’s ruthlessness in attack and their meanness in defence - one that will stand them in good stead for the rest of the season.
But how will the rest of the season look? Will they be able to carry on this momentum and mount a genuine challenge to the top-four? Or will they eventually slip away after the Premier League returns following the break for the Qatar World Cup?
