For Newcastle United, the January transfer window could represent a great opportunity to reinforce Steve Bruce’s squad ahead of the second half of the season, and it looks as if the Magpies could have the chance to welcome an old face back to St. James’ Park.

According to Dutch outlet RTL Nieuws, former Toon loanee Jetro Willems has made it clear that he would like to return to Tyneside one day.

"I hope to be able to go to England. That suits me. The atmosphere in England is wonderful.”

Willems spent the first half of last season on loan in Newcastle, but returned to parent club Eintracht Frankfurt early because of injury.
