Newcastle United target Georginio Wijnaldum has returned to PSV Eindhoven for pre-season training – and to resolve his future.
The midfielder was given an extended break because of his involvement with Holland this summer.
But the £15million-rated player rejoined his PSV team-mates today.
Wijnaldum was asked about this future by Dutch journalists after completing his first training session.
But the Holland international, also wanted by Zenit St Petersburg, was giving nothing away.
He said: “The media find it all more exciting than me.”
Wijnaldum had updated his 135,000 Twitter followers in English ahead of his return to the club, which he captained to the Eredivisie title last season.
He tweeted yesterday: “Holidays are over now. Tomorrow my first training of the season with @PSV.”
