Georginio Wijnaldum is again on Newcastle United's bench tonight – as talks continue over a proposed move to Liverpool.

The Newcastle United midfielder arrived with his team-mates at the Keepmoat Stadium for the friendly (7.45pm kick-off).

And the 25-year-old, initially not named on the official teamsheet, is among the substitutes along with Florian Thauvin.

Liverpool are in talks over a £25million move for Wijnaldum, who is keen to leave relegated Newcastle.

The 25-year-old came off the bench and scored in Saturday's 6-0 win over Dublin side Bohemian.

Meanwhile, United manager Rafa Benitez has handed a start to teenage forward Adam Armstrong, who has recovered from a thigh injury.
