NEWCASTLE United pair Haris Vuckic and Remie Streete will make their Rangers debuts at Ibrox this afternoon – but Gael Bigirimana is sidelined.
Forward Vuckic and defender Streete, loaned to the Scottish Championship club this week along with Bigirimana, Kevin Mbabu and Shane Ferguson, will start against Raith Rovers in a fifth-round Scottish Cup tie.
Rangers manager Kenny McDowall claimed this week that he HAD to field the Newcastle loanees, though this was later by Derek Llambias, the club’s chief executive officer.
However, midfielder Bigirimana is not involved in the cup tie, while defender Mbabu and winger Ferguson are yet to start training at Rangers because of injuries.
However, Mbabu revealed on Twitter that he link up with his new team-mates on Monday.
The 19-year-old tweeted: “Looking forward to my first training session on Monday with @RangersFC #ComingBackFromInjury.”
Ferguson has been sidelined for the past three months with a knee problem.
