Islam Slimani named on Newcastle bench for Huddersfield

Islam Slimani could make his long-awaited Newcastle United debut against Huddersfield Town.

The striker, signed on loan from Leicester City in January, has been named on the bench for this afternoon's game at St James's Park (3pm kick-off).

Benitez, without Joselu (ankle), has named an unchanged starting XI for the Premier League game.

Newcastle, looking for a third successive home win, are 13th in the table and four points above the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, midfielder Aaron Mooy has shaken off an injury to line up for 15th-placed Huddersfield.
