JOHN Carver’s had a clear-the-air meeting with Remy Cabella – after accusing him of being “disrespectful”.
Cabella threw his water bottle to the ground after being taken off during yesterday’s 1-1 draw against Stoke City.
But the incident has now been dealt with by Carver, who called Cabella into his office this morning.
Cabella is now focused on Wednesday night’s game at Crystal Palace.
Carver said: “It’s great to see someone react to being taken off the pitch, but there’s a way to do that.
“All I said to Rem was ‘don’t be disrespectful to the guy who’s going on’.
“I want all our players to be honest. I just thought it was right to get him off the pitch bearing in mind that we’ve got another game coming up.
“He did well in the game – he was very unfortunate with his headed chance. I told him that this morning.
“I had him in the office and said ‘look, you’ve been great since I’ve taken over – you need to continue that, but be careful with your reaction’.”
