JOHN Carver has insisted Newcastle will attack champions Manchester City on Saturday – and will NOT park the bus.
Man City will be heavy favourites, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side still fighting to retain the Premier League title.
However, Carver is targeting a surprise as Newcastle look for their second victory at the Etihad Stadium this season, having won 2-0 there in the League Cup in October.
Newcastle’s head coach said: “Man City have still got a chance (of the title) and they’ll be looking for three points from this. But I would like to surprise them.
“We’re playing against a good Man City side, but we’re not going to be fearful, because we’ve proved we can do it there.
“We went to Man City in the League Cup and won 2-0 and thoroughly deserved the win.
“We will go there with confidence and won’t park the bus. We have a game plan.”
