JOHN Carver’s called on Newcastle United’s hierarchy to put an end to the uncertainty – and make a decision on a new head coach.
Caretaker manager Carver fears his chance of succeeding Alan Pardew at St James’s Park has gone.
Newcastle were beaten 2-1 by Southampton at St James’s Park tonight.
Asked if he wanted an end to the uncertainty, Carver said: “Absolutely, I think everybody does.
“I think I do, I think all the staff do, I think all the players do, I think the crowd certainly does and I am sure you guys do, so yes.”
Carver was angered by the failure of referee Robert Madley to award a late penalty when Jose Fonte handled a shot from United substitute Emmanuel Riviere.
