Liverpool have had a £25million bid for Gini Wijnaldum accepted by Newcastle United.
The two clubs have been involved in talks for several days.
And Liverpool have finally agreed a fee with Newcastle for the midfielder, who came off the bench in last night's 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers.
Wijnaldum is understood to have already agreed personal terms with the Anfield club.
The 26-year-old will now travel to Merseyside to undergo a medical.
Things have moved quickly since Wijnaldum's appearance against Doncaster.
Asked about the Holland international's future at the Keepmoat Stadium, United manager Rafa Benitez said: "I can’t really say anything other than that we will have to wait to see what happens.
"He is still our player and that means he has to be ready for us.
"If something happens (with Liverpool), we will now in some days.
"But until something changes, we will continue training and working with him, and we will continue playing him in the games."
