The major Premier League transfer rule change that will impact Newcastle United
Premier League clubs have voted in favour of the summer transfer window closing on September 1.
For the previous two seasons, the summer window slammed shut before the opening weekend of the top-flight campaign.
However, Newcastle United and their Premier League counterparts have today voted in favour of ditching the early deadline – the second Thursday in August.
From next summer, Steve Bruce will again have until the first day of September to bolster his Magpies squad before the 5pm deadline instructed.
