Matty Longstaff has been left out of Newcastle United’s squad for this afternoon’s game against Southampton.

Allan Saint-Maximin has been named in the relegation-threatened club’s starting XI along with loanee Joe Willock.
However, neither Longstaff, nor his elder brother Sean, are on the bench at St James’s Park.

Hide AdThe 20-year-old hasn’t featured since last month’s Premier League defeat to Arsenal.
Sean, meanwhile, hasn’t played since the club’s loss to Sheffield United, and Bruce yesterday said the 23-year-old needed to “roll his sleeves up”.
