Fulham have agreed a fee with Newcastle United for Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Mitrovic has returned to England from the club's base in Portugal to complete the move.
The striker had travelled with his team-mates yesterday for the games against Porto and Braga.
However, Mitrovic is now finalising a £20million move to Craven Cottage.
The 23-year-old spent the second half of last season at the club, which was promoted through the play-offs.
Mitrovic had reported back to United for pre-season training this week.
The Serbia international had been given an extended break following his involvement at the World Cup.
Newcastle and Fulham had been some way apart on a fee, but the Gazette reported earlier today that progress had been made in talks.
And the deal could be finalised in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, manager Rafa Benitez has named his starting XI for the Porto game.
