NEWCASTLE United head coach John Carver says all the pressure is on Everton going into Sunday’s game between the sides at Goodison Park.
Everton are 14th, three places and seven points behind Newcastle, heading into the Premier League match.
And Carver says all the pressure will be on the Toffees this weekend as Roberto Martinez’s side look to avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
He said: “All the pressure is on Everton on Sunday. There’s none on us and we have to go there and express ourselves.”
Everton beat Dynamo Kiev 2-1 in the Europa League last night, and Carver says their involvement in the competition will have ‘drained’ them this season.
He added: “Everton have 12 or 14 extra games than us and it’s draining from a physical and injury point of view.”
