Newcastle close in on forward as Man United and Chelsea on alert for German ace

THE transfer window may have shut without Newcastle United signing a new forward, but they could still snap up an attacker before the season ends,

Reports suggest that the Magpies are in talks with Marseille’s Andre Ayew over a summer transfer to St James’s Park.

The Ghana star – who can play as a winger or through the middle – has long been linked with a move to Newcastle and French media claim he could sign a pre-contract agreement with the club as he only has a few months left on his Marseille contract.
