Newcastle United are considering a move for Everton's Brendan Galloway.
The 20-year-old is a potential loan target for Rafa Benitez, who is keen to further strengthen his squad this summer.
Galloway, signed from Milton Keynes two years ago, was a regular for Everton last season.
But the Premier League club could be prepared to loan him out this season, and Newcastle, beaten 1-0 by Fulham in Friday night's Championship season-opener, are considering a move.
Paul Dummett, 24, has started the season as United's first-choice left-back, and Jesus Gamez, signed from Atletico Madrid this summer, can also play in the position.
Zimbabwe-born Galloway, under contract at Goodison Park until 2020, has represented England up to Under-19 level.
