NEWCASTLE United could loan a clutch of players to Rangers on transfer deadline day.
The Gazette understands that discussions are ongoing between the two clubs.
Newcastle could loan out up to FOUR players to the Scottish Championship club before tonight’s transfer deadline.
The likes of Gael Bigirimana and Haris Vuckic, pictured, are candidates for loans away from St James’s Park.
United owner Mike Ashley has a 8.92 per cent stake in Rangers, and former Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias is chief executive at Ibrox.
Speaking in November, former then-manager Ally McCoist revealed he had been watching a number of United’s fringe players with a view to taking one or more on loan.
McCoist said: “I’ve been for a look at some of Newcastle’s young players already.”
