Haris Vuckic has agreed a contract extension at Newcastle United ahead of a loan move to Wigan Athletic.
The forward – who spent the second half of last season on loan at Rangers – had a year left on his deal at St James’s Park.
And Sky Sports News report that he has agreed a new contract, though there has been no confirmation from Newcastle.
The 23-year-old will reportedly join League One Wigan Athletic, managed by ex-United defender Gary Caldwell, on a season-long loan.
Vuckic has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at Newcastle in recent seasons.
The Slovenia international has made 20 appearances for the club.
Vuckic’s only senior competitive goal came against Atromitos in the Europa League three years ago.
