Bafetimbi Gomis has re-emerged as a potential striking target for Newcastle United.
The Swansea City striker has fallen out of favour at Swansea City, and the club has been alerted to 30-year-old Gomis' availability.
The France international is available for £7million in this month's transfer window.
Gomis was a target for Newcastle before he moved to Swansea from Olympique Lyonnais on a free transfer a year and a half ago.
However, United would have to make an exception to their rule of not signing players in their 30s.
Newcastle – who signed Jonjo Shelvey fro Swansea this week – are looking to sign a striker in this month's transfer window.
