Newcastle United goalkeeping prospect Freddie Woodman has joined League Two side Crawley Town on loan.
The 18-year-old will stay with the Broadfield Stadium club until January 3.
The move gives him the chance to experience senior competitive football for the first time.
The England Under-19 international made his second-string debut for Newcastle at the age of just 14 and has since gone on to play for the club’s under-18 and under-21 sides.
He has been on the substitutes’ bench for the first-team on a number of occasions, but is yet to make his competitive Magpies bow.
Woodman is expected to play some part in Crawley’s pre-season friendly at Nuneaton Town this evening.
