Andros Townsend has told of his pride after returning to the England fold in time for Euro 2016.
The Newcastle United winger was today named in Roy Hodgson's provisional 26-man squad for the tournament.
Townsend, signed from Tottenham Hotspur for £12million in January, is now focused on making Hodgson's final 23-man selection.
The 24-year-old, outstanding for Newcastle in yesterday's 5-1 win over his former club, gave his reaction to the news on Twitter.
Townsend tweeted: "Huge honour to be named in provisional @England squad for the euros.
"Will give my all over next few weeks to try and make final squad!"
Townsed last played for his country in October.
