REMIE Streete is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury on his Rangers debut.
The on-loan defender, from South Shields, suffered a groin strain in this afternoon’s 2-1 Scottish Cup defeat to Raith Rovers.
Forward Haris Vuckic, Streete’s Newcastle United team-mate, scored Rangers’ goal in the fifth-round tie at Ibrox.
Vuckic cancelled out Ryan Conroy’s 54th-minute opener, but Cristian Nade sent the visitors into the quarter-finals.
Streete – who had just returned from a spell out with a groin problem – was forced off just before the break.
After the game, Streete said on Twitter: “Very disappointed with the result & Injury.
“Only got to show 43 mins of what I can do, hopefully back playing fitter and stronger soon.”
Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson and Kevin Mbabu, also loaned to Rangers by Newcastle on transfer deadline day, missed the game through injury.
