Newcastle United announce two friendlies ahead of 2021/22 Premier League season

Steve Bruce’s side secured their Premier League status this week – with the focus now turning to next season.
On Sunday, July 18, the Magpies will play at National League North side York City (2pm) and League Two outfit Harrogate Town (kick-off time TBC), with Bruce set to split his squad.

Hide AdYork, managed by former United defender Steve Watson, will host the match at their brand new 8,500-seater LNER Community Stadium, which opened in February.
Newcastle, under Steve McClaren, lost 2-1 when visiting Bootham Crescent in July 2015.
United also make their first-ever trip to Harrogate, who have just finished their debut season in the Football League. Their EnviroVent Stadium has a capacity of 5,000.
