Adam Armstrong has revealed he is determined to build on his dream debut for Coventry City
The teenage Newcastle United striker bagged two goals on his Coventry City debut in Saturday’s 2-0 win against Wigan Athletic.
Armstrong said: “I’ve set my standards now and hopefully I can get more goals.
“I want to push on as a player and score as many goals as I can
The 18-year-old is on loan to Coventry until the middle of January after playing 15 competitive games for the Magpies.
Speaking to BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, he revealed that dropping down two divisions held little concern.
“It’s still a good standard in League One,” he said. “They’re all good players and you’ve got to work hard.
“There are definitely goals there from all over the pitch. It’s just confidence. We need that and hopefully we’ve got it now and can push on.”
