Newcastle United today signed Isaac Hayden from Arsenal.
The defender – who has penned a five-year deal at St James's Park – became the club's fifth summer signing.
Versatile Hayden has experience of the Championship from a year-long loan at Hull City last season, where he was used in defence and midfield.
And the 21-year-old has explained why he was so keen to join relegated Newcastle.
United hope to follow the capture of Hayden with that of a specialist central defender following the summer departures of Fabricio Coloccini and Steven Taylor.
Meanwhile, Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko was the talk of Twitter last night.
